Luraville is easily accessed by major highways or simply fly in, as the
property is adjacent to a secluded private residential Air
Park. This hidden air park is a well guarded secret among the
local people, encompassing hundreds of acres along the banks of the
Suwannee River and home to only 8 permanent residents.
Centrally located off of Highway 51 near some of Florida's more
unique attractions and cities. This property is less than 2
miles from Peacock Springs, home to the United States largest
string of underwater caves. The northern part of Florida has the
largest concentration of fresh water springs more than anywhere else
in the country, some of which are considered first magnitude,
meaning they produce over 64 million gallons of fresh water daily.
Tubing, Canoeing, Boating, Hiking, Hunting & Biking are all
activities that are within minutes from your front door. The
nearest public boat ramp at the Suwannee river is 1 mile and the current Rails to Trails
program is working hard to complete a beautiful vast stretch of
biking and hiking pathways.
Suwannee County is full of natural
wonders. The Suwannee River is one of eight magnificent waterways
in North Central Florida. It proudly boasts to being the diving
capital of the world, over 70 clear fresh springs stand in stark
contrast to the tannin-colored river water. There are many types of
fish that thrive in its waters, including sturgeon, and the river
provides a habitat for many species of wildlife.
